Notary Mike Ramsay’s office is not far from the University of Glasgow. He notarises a lot of documents for students such as degrees, certificates, passports, GMC documents, transcripts, SQA, diplomas, awards, Association of British language Schools etc.
We can provide a legalisation service and can arrange translation if necessary.
Legalisation
I can arrange legalisation – sometimes known as adding an ‘Apostille’ – where appropriate. The Apostille is a stamped certificate affixed to UK issued documents by The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCDO). The FCDO will check the document has been genuinely issued by a UK notary public.
Where necessary I provide an expert and efficient consular legalisation service; particularly for the UAE. I work closely with London-based, legalisation manager, Peter Casinhas As a result, we are able to provide a speedy and efficient service keeping up to date with the very latest procedural changes and fees. We understand that notarial work tends to be urgent therefore short notice, appointments – subject to availability – maybe made – Saturday morning appointments are available and we can travel to you.
What ID is required?
Please bring your passport with you and proof of address (such as a utility bill dated within the last six months). This information is to satisfy us of your identity.
Document in a foreign language?
If the document is not in English, Mike Ramsay can still certify it provided he is satisfied that you fully understand the nature of the legally binding document about to be notarised. Translation services are available – read more about our services in Polish or the Ukrainian languages.
